Not sure where to begin. My wife sent me a TikTok of the juniper Café so we decide to come in this place is absolutely amazing. We tried the Tri and true steak and cheese. It was fresh full of meat. The bread was awesome largest portions that we got the shrimp and grits to double down and they were on point Large shrimp. The sauce for the grits was amazing. This place is a true hidden gym. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed a meal this evening at Juniper Cafe with a group of 8. Our waitress did amazing with all our questions and add-ons. The food was delicious from the cheesesteaks to wings to the catfish and shrimp and grits! Everyone was pleased with their portions as well. The staff was all friendly and the space was inviting and clean. We will all be back for another meal!
Absolutely loved this place! The food was delicious and clearly made with care,every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The service was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. On top of that, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
After hearing all the hype I decided to order a cheesesteak for delivery. This definitely lives up to everything I’ve heard! This thing is LOADED with meat and has a perfect balance of cheese, and onions to it. The bread is soft, but sturdy enough to handle all that goodness! It came with fries which were hot and crispy even after being in a to-go container. Looking forward to coming in and exploring the rest of the menu, and supporting this business again in the near future.
I wish I was able to take a picture of everyone's plate. By the time I pulled my phone out and took this photo the plates were devoured and destroyed! 😂😂😂 please come support this small business! They will not disappoint!
Juniper Café was terrific. I went in with my husband and we were quickly greeted by a gentleman who took our drink order. He and the waitress made sure we were not waiting or wanting for anything. They were out of cheesesteaks (which I keep hearing are amazing), but no regrets here. Husband had the smash burger and loved it. I went with the fried fish sandwich. The bread the fish sandwich was served on was delish and the fish seasoned and fried to perfection. We ended the meal with one of their homemade cookies, amaze. Not only was the food good, but everything was super reasonably priced. Only note, the fries were regular - not bad but were to the same level as sandwiches, in my opinion. We left already planning our next visit—the oxtail grilled cheese is calling my name. 😌 Safe to say: we’ll definitely be back.

Ohhhhh my!!! The $10 Tuesday is a must!! This mushroom and cheese sandwich was absolutely incredible — easily comparable to a great steak and cheese. The mushrooms were perfectly seasoned and packed with rich, savory flavor that made every bite satisfying. What really stood out was the beautifully blended cheese, melted to perfection and woven into the sandwich so smoothly that it paired flawlessly with the fresh, toasted bread. The balance of textures and flavors created a comforting yet elevated experience. A must-try for anyone who loves a hearty, flavorful vegan sandwich option.
Absolutely the BEST CHEESESTEAK I’ve EVER had. Even the fries are amazing. I can’t say enough about it. SOOOOOO good. The owner and staff are super friendly. If you have tried this place do yourself a favor and go! This place ruined me for cheesesteaks now. I can’t go anywhere else again.
This place was a very good kept secret! Apparently they've been open since Oct 2024. Absolutely one of the best steak and cheeses we've had! OXtail with gravy and rice was delicious, I got mine with collard greens and cabbage. When I tell you the flavors are SO on point! They didn't have the Mac and cheese today, so I missed out on that. But more of a reason to go back. The prices are very affordable. You just can't get good Soul Food in Hagerstown until now!!! Even if that's not your thing, I promise there is something on that menu you will love.
